Get To Know Shelby:

Shelby McKay Parker is a performing artist specializing in acting, singing and dance. She graduated from The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University with her BFA in Musical Theater in 2022. She then went on to obtain her MFA in Acting from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated in June of 2024. Her Masters thesis was titled “Roaring Truth: Unleashing the Free Voice in Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves.” Some of her favorite projects include Spring Awakening (Wendla), Macbeth (Banquo), The Wolves (#7) and Guys & Dolls (Miss Adelaide) where she became a semi-finalist for the 2021 KCACTF awards. She belives in the transformative power of storytelling and the abilitility for art to ignite curiosity. When she isn’t auditioning, she can be found choreographing dances in her kitchen, putting together fun outfits (thank you, Pinterest) and reading plays! Shelby recently made the move to the Windy City of Chicago in September, where she signed with Stewart Talent Agency. She is thrilled to start rehearsals for the musical "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" with Big Noise Theatre Company- set to run February 8th through March 2nd! Shelby will also begin teaching Improv and Broadway Dance with Ovation Performing Arts Academy in January.
